Why is maximizing profits bad again? Did he break any laws? Did he harm people? I mean, even GM, Obama's pet project has overseas business.
Yes, I don't know, and neither do you. Why would you even introduce a point you can't support? Of course it is relevant. You said Romney got all of Bains profits. This would be highly unusual. But it's ok. You can continue your retreat from a dumb and unsupported allegation. Right. You are imagining solvent acquisition targets with solid business models and healthy financial that Bain bought and downsized to make a profit. You have produced not one real example of it happening, but you are never one to let facts get in the way of an arguement. But in the meantime you will villify Bain and Romney based on whatever bullshit you imagine. You have already admitted it. The only formal independent study I am aware of on Private equity was done by PricewaterhouseCoopers and it found private equity had a net neutral effect on domestic jobs, and a positive effect on GDP. Remember, I have made no claims about Bain's business model. I have only pointed out you have produced no evidence to support the claims you made. Is that what it is called when I point out all the holes in your logic?
I love how it has always been considered patriotic to pay a little more in taxes when the country is at war or under financial hardship but now it is called class warfare.
Nah, thats not it. The system is jacked up. Fix it, balance the budget and then we can see how much and who taxes really need to be raised on. Obama is shooting from the hip. Thats that issue.
This fair share bullshit. 50% of the country paid no income tax and or got more than they paid back. This has nothing to do with fairness. The system is broke. You know it, I know it, so why not balance the budget, cut the waste, and then see what tax increase, if any is needed?
That has nothing to do with what we're discussing. The issue is Romney's experience and how it relates to his abilities as president. You and Red are arguing that he's a bad guy because he made money at Bain. Or more specifically, the way he made money at Bain. It's just not the type of country I want to live in and that's why we have elections. I just don't understand how the left has won this battle of villifying people who have worked hard and become succesful. It's bizarre to me.
It is b/c didn't give away all his money, and go broke supported failed businesses, and he kicked kids out on the street to die.
