Freeman is a stud. He robbed a certain hit that would have drove a run. Was a great snag on the ball, but his transfer and throw to 1st base was ridiculously acrobatic. Bregmanesk, really.

CPM is gonna leave the infield as is for the weekend to evaluate. They seemed to perform a little more fluid. Freeman had a few opportunities at ss to impress where he may have missed on the transfer. He seems to be a bit more comfortable on 2nd. He is gonna be a solid player for years to come.

are we too slow in the OF and middle infield getting to balls. Im thinking yes and will be an issue. the roid twins arent fast either.

Is fraley as fast as everyone is telling us? Compared to Stevenson in center, he looks much slower.

Yeah, our speed in the outfield has taken a hit. Duplantis has wheels and Fraley has yet to be really challenged. Still, we are slow to challenging foul balls as compared to last year. The twins are bugger snot slow. Got picked off several times with slow base running. Little concerned seeing them so close in the lineup. They can hit though and their bats continue to improve, they just need to be in power slots and not on base together. To be fair, we have faced some pretty good arms behind the plate, so they are not the only ones getting gunned down.

i think we lack range at more positions which is what i was getting at. last game seemed to be better at MI from what i heard. also this chris blair guy. great voice. opposite of jim. sterile in his broadcasts. anyone get to listen to him yet. almost too professional imo.

I was thinking the same thing. Like he could be calling games for the Dodgers, the Celtics or the Saints and it would all sound the same . Maybe he will catch on fire when a Les pulls a bonehead call

Doug Thompson seems a bit awkward behind the mike. Lack of experience could be the reason. Seems to state the obvious just to have something to say.
