Maneri's still experimenting. Trying to find out who he can count on in SEC play. I think Gilbert will play a key role moving forward. I don't mind leaving him in to see how he works out of a jam. I thought he pitched pretty well. Gave up a bad luck cue ball single plus a routine shot to the nads error at short. Yeah it stinks losing, but figuring out who your key players will be later in the season is more important right now imo. We need to manage our expectations for this season. I think hosting a regional should be an attainable goal, but not necessarily a national seed or even Omaha. The potential is there, just not the consistency yet.

It is Dunn. For the great coach he is, coach this thing. Playing with the pen this time of year IS expected, but with the arms at his disposal, you warm 2 when you want to win the game. Pitcher on the mound gets the message. Next man up is the one thing we do have. To see pen management lose 2 games in under a week is not LSU Baseball. We close games, we don't throw them.
