If you don't have moral fiber at 30, it's not going to kick in at 40. It wasn't really cockiness. He was socially awkward, unable to have "normal" conversations with other human beings. Basic insecurity. He's lucky Saban took him in. And yet he gets results. Kiffin didn't know how to do that without the stupid Denny's menu play chart.
I was thinking lack of maturity masked itself as "lack of moral". Though I'm not sure what exactly you're referring to, I trust you know what you're speaking of on this. Pete lacked a little moral fiber too, I didn't hear too much criticism of that though. Sark was an alcoholic. Maybe USC is like the female with daddy issues and attracts those kind. lol I thought the black eye was from getting popped. Another thing about Kiffen. He took over under terrible conditions at USC with the sanctions so shouldn't that be factored in?
Or perhaps they all just belong in the SEC. Yes, Pete did. But it's like anything else. Win and all is forgiven or ignored. I lost a lot of respect for PC and I'm one of the few who wouldn't want him back. That troika of turd buckets left USC permanently damaged. Kiffin and Sark got their chances because PC said so...yes, even after he left. It's a different atmosphere today but still trying to recover from sanctions. Factored in to what? Not one of my criticisms changes with or without sanctions. Yes, he took a job nobody wanted but he got highly compensated and then he screwed the pooch.
I'm not sure which SEC coach's you were thinking of. Hell, I don't even know half of them right off. That dog won't hunt in speaking of LSU though. That's ONE time I'll back our coach. He's a lot of things and I'm not saying he's a saint but he's all class. No weak morals there. Goofy, but classy. Mark Richt was too. Is Sumlin still at A&M? I always thought he was very respectable. Nick's a dick but he's a man of principle- or as Tusk would say, "Process." I'm not sure which SEC coach's you were thinking of. BUT hey, at least them SEC sum bitches win.
Kiffin is not a bad person, he's just a bad head coach. However, he's a great OC. I just think that great philosopher, Dirty Harry, said it best: "A man has got to know his limitations." And a few good head coaches even have some serious social issues, for example:
You can count me out of that group. I've got a lot of experience with Dabo dating back to when we took quite a few classes together in college. At this point in time, there's no way I'd want him as head coach at Bama. It is one of the key ingredients to being success as the football coach in Tuscaloosa. That's a picture painted with far too broad of a brush stroke.
BTW, when it comes to Kiff's dating life, I wouldn't mind walking in his shoes for an hour or so. She's freakin' HOT in my opinion.
