How about Bama minus.....6? Sheffield gone and he makes 6 transfers just this summer? Nicky managing those numbers. Over-signer of the year.
Best try to concentrate on the one's who'll be showing up on gameday. There are legitimate reasons USCw is a double digit dawg.
Best not to give advice on the focus of my concentration. I have no qualms about USC's chances. I don't know if we'll keep close or not. I do think the biggest reason for the odd's makers lack of confidence is Clay Helton. We have the skill although we could use more depth. Still, as I've pointed out, we have a decent record on the road and showing up for big games. Back to the point....is Nick managing over-signing by encouraging transfers? Is there any other big program with 6 transfers in ONE summer?
Wow, not sure Lee offered Grant all those concessions. But Clay Helton is indeed the biggest x-factor for Southern Cal going in. Now to what's really bugging you. Reality is, I haven't spoken to Nick in a few weeks, but he would probably tell you that expectations postponed can discourage the weak. The process has little to do with instant gratification and some of our elite get antsy and soon panic sets in. Once the imagination starts running rampant it overwhelms the competitive spirit and soon the grass looks greener over someone else's septic tank. Illusions of course, but by then the deed is done and all they have left is a lifetime of regret and the national championship rings we hand out biennial.
