They just cut Andy Tanner and signed free agent OL Mike McGlynn. What's weird is that he played for the Chiefs last year and was let go when they aquired Grubbs. So we give up Grubbs and sign the dude who's position he took in KC. Kind of a strange move considering McGlynn gave up 18 hurries and 7 sacks, including 3 in one game. Grubbs only gave up 1 sack, 27 hurries. Wonder how many picks Brees threw during those hurries. Anyway, I don't see McGlynn making the team unless it's for depth purposes. http://www.nola.com/saints/index.ssf/2015/05/new_orleans_saints_sign_offens_2.html
I was talking about the Cowboys. As for the Saints, yes they need guard help, La'el would have fit right in.
The only thing that comparison tells us conclusively is that Grubbs got beat slightly more often than McGlynn. And maybe that Brees is better at avoiding the pressure and getting rid of the ball than Smith. Agree, McGlynn won't be handed the job, it's Lelito's to lose.
Correct. Brees either got rid of the ball quicker (or threw a pick) when Grubbs allowed those 27 hurries. I agree with everything you said.
Coming to a bookstore near you very soon....."How To Lose 2 Billion Dollars," by Rita Benson Leblanc.
Ouch. lol Still, she won't be hurting to bad. I read somewhere on nola.com that she has an irrevocable trust with a couple hundred million in it. It ain't $2B, but she should still be able to eek by on it.
