Like I said before, long time till signing day. We are still in on a few more OL. There are a couple more in state guys that the staff likes, we'll see. There are still a couple out of state kids, they too are still in the mix. But like I said, the NFL draft is the kicker here. For Hawk and Alexander to stay, that would be the biggest recruiting job. I could see Hawk at LOT, Pocic at ROT, with a move to the left side the following year. Center will be between Dodd and Clapp. Boutte and KJ Malone, along with a couple other guys for the guard positions. Austin and Domond are a couple more to keep an eye on. A stay at LSU by a couple, an you have a very good line with some depth. The best thing, a year in Grimes system, helps. He's not back to teaching from square one.
Agreed, Dad, quality post as usual. Really, LSU has two recruiting periods. First, they try to get these high school kids on campus and ultimately enroll. The second is a newer phenomena which is to re-recruit our talented Juniors to stay for their senior years.. do that and with the youth we have that got so much valuable experience and we're one solid QB play from an SEC Title.
Quick one.......what do these QB's have in common? These 4, are 4 of the top 5 underclassmen, draft eligible. Heisman winner Marcus Mariota. Brett Hundley of UCLA Kevin Hogan of Stanford Dak Prescott of MooU Add to the list the Sr's in this years draft class: Bryce Petty of Baylor Cody Fajardo of Nevada Cole Stoudt of Clemson
we could use this guy since he decommited from utexas and we need olinemen. http://www.sbnation.com/college-foo...-weathersby-arkansas-lsu-ole-misss-recruiting
I fear that Hawk and Alexander will go to the NFL and Pocic will be left tackle next year with new guys at center, right tackle and both guards. Essentially all five positions with new players. If Grimes turns that into an effective line quickly . . . then Ishtissle must be fired!
