Wrong again The coaches/AD's voted PRIOR to '99 that the BCS system would produce THE CHAMP! That was the system that was agreed upon across the land. Let USC and the AP and the API (remember them) and whomever else dispute what they may. At the end of the day, the 2003 NCAA Football Champions are the LSU Tigers, I don't know why I have to keep pointing this out to you beings I'm supposed to be anti LSU. Oh wait, I know. Because you are the V.I. how did I ever forget.
Loaded talent had a lot to do with that. Granted Les put em on the field, decided who plays and who doesn't. You mentioned Charles Scott. Scott had over 100 yards in the Kentucky game in the first half, then was benched the entire 2nd half, until a 4th and 4 to stay alive. The Ole Miss debacle, the Tennessee debacle, and he pulled a bunch of shit from his rectum to squeak out wins against a bunch of teams. Then we have the New Orkeans beat down. That was one of the worst coached games ever. I like Les, I really do, I haven't forgotten the VT game, or the Ohio State Game, the Miami and Georgia Tech games, or the fact that Texas A&M is Les' bitch. But he has these moments where he goes brain dead and he also stubborn as hell. His unwillingness to make changes until the wheels fall off really exemplify that. Again, I hope he proves me wrong, I hope he wins a championship every remaining year he is here, I just don't see it.
The final BCS rankings were in order; 1)Oklahoma, 2) LSU, 3) USC, so the BCS got it right. The AP had USCw at 1 but all conferences decided to use the BCS to determine the champ. USC didn't like how it went down so they chose to ignore the BCS and claim the AP title. There is only one Crystal Football for 2003 and it's in Red Stick.
