@red55 You're basically confirming what I just said. One thing you're missing is context: statements like "easily the best" don't accurately describe the picture. The interesting thing about speculation and subjective observations are both can, and in this case are, based in factual observations. Pointing out the Dawgs aren't replacing their defensive coordinator or changing schemes and suggesting that there's a good possibility people will point to the UGA secondary as being the best returning is speculation, it's also very logical.
When you say people, you mean you and others that like to poke the cat? The secondary coach is the same and the talent is even deeper. With pressure on the QB in a new scheme (that is known) under the new coaches, even without statistics that already show it, it is a good possibility that people will point to the LSU secondary as the best by far as the previous poster said.
Thats been our biggest issue outside of poor LB play. We are not consistent in the middle of your D at all.
More fire. This culture shakeup will be good for LSU. Chavis was good, but getting stale and too staid. Les is loyal and never would have made the change. Two fiery personalities is exactly what the Tigers needed.
I'm not poking at anything. Whether it's justified or not there will be those who point to the change at the DC position and will mention the same things mentioned here: Baylor and the Orange Bowl versus WVU. Pruitt, based largely on his time at FSU, is a media darling. When you have no change at the DC position, return the same degree of experience, and then look at least season, where do you think people are going to point? History says they'll go with experience and stability the majority of the time. Assuming the same secondary coach means the same results doesn't take into account a new defensive scheme.
