I've always felt the same way: Sign the LOI, and THEN I relax. incidently, is there a reason why they all seem to wait until signing day to all sign? I mean, is there a reason why? If I had ever been recruited by LSU in high school, since it's the place I would have obviously LOVED playing at, I would have signed that LOI the day in came in the mail!
Signing day is the first day that they can be accepted, not the last. They can wait until June if they want.
They can wait all the way up to the last day to enroll to any particular school which is usually the last day to add/drop classes on the academic calendar.
Terrell Pryor signed on March 19th back in 2008. It's been way too long since I've been in college so I forget how long into the Spring semester your typical drop/add ends. I googled LSU's schedule for this Spring and it's February 27th as last day to drop/add classes. That seems about right to me. Not sure what happened with Pryor that year. Must be still ways to get in even after drop/add ends.
Kendrick Adams and Mark Roman both signed days after signing day. Then a few signed in more than one signing class. Lavalais and Livings come to mind.
Yeah but Pryor was eligible for play even after signing on March 19th. I'd like to know the hard firm answer on this.
He was enrolling for the fall or summer semester? Therefore you could actually sign it in August. But most of the kids enroll in summer classes so they would have to sign it before the last day of summer enrollment in that case.
