If all is true about the party and murder I wish the kid the best but I do wish he would have chose Okie State or another non SEC school. His talent is off the charts. Good luck but still TIGERbait.

Sounds like a crock of you know what to me. LSU doesn't play football in LaPlace. LSU students do not attend classes in LaPlace. Some kids have a knack for finding themselves in bad situations. LaPlace or Baton Rouge or at AU or at the North Pole, he will either avoid these things or he will be attracted to them like a magnet. Many many NCAA athletes come from troubled pasts in much less than desirable places. Most find a way to stay away from trouble in their new environment, while some do not. Baton Rouge is plenty far enough away to stay out of trouble in LaPlace if you want to, so that doesn't hold water as a reason to commit to AU IMO.

Since we have not lived in this kid's world, I will take him at his word. BR is less than an hour from LaPlace. Plenty close enough for people to come looking for him or for him to take a quick trip home to see his friends. I respect a kid who sees the need to separate himself from potential pitfalls.

I doubt you have buried a 16 yr old cousin and been a possible target so cut the KID some slack !! Did you read the link Bhelm posted? I would not blame him for getting the hell out of LA either if I was in that kind of a situation. AL would not be far enough for me.

I dont, you misunderstand my post. As good as he is and he is really good, im not sure if LSU isnt better off with out him. Im simply calling the reason given for his AU commit bs.
