Oh I am sure it would help. I'm not against it either. That's WAY off what he was looking for that I'm against. Magazine capacity, National registry, which lays the foundation for confiscation.
We haven't lost a damn thing. The rest of Syria's chemical materials are due to be transferred out of the country by February 5 and destroyed by June 30. It has taken time to find countries wiling to accept and destroy the chemicals, but US, Chinese, Norwegian and Danish ships are removing it as fast as the Syrians can get it to port. They are having security problems moving this stuff during a civil war, but it is happening. Balked my ass. Syria backed down! They conceded. Are you daft? How was he not truthful? He threatened to bomb Syria if they continued to use chemical weapons so they gave them up! He won the issue. He can still bomb them if they try to hold any back and use them. But international inspectors on the ground in Syria say that Syria is cooperating fully and their delays have been logistical, not foot-dragging.
Whoa! Confiscation? That's pure paranoia. No guns are going to be confiscated in this country. Obama certainly has never advocated this, I don't know who has. There is no reason that law-abiding citizens should fear gun registration. We register automobiles but not guns? Law enforcement says that it would allow them to better track guns used by criminals. It would also allow for stolen guns to be returned to their rightful owners. Here is Obama's gun control plan. No gun registration is in it. Phony issue. Hell, the only controversial issue is the assault weapons and high-capacity magazines ban. The Congress had already enacted this back in the Clinton era, then backed away from it under Bush.
I think it inconveniences the law abiding citizen more than anything, my bf bought 3 guns last year and he had to wait 3 days I believe for 2 of them....biggest thing he's ever had on his record is a speeding ticket. This is supposed to be America, land of the free.....if you want to buy something and it's legal, go buy it. I think, myself included, a lot of folks just view this as another lost freedom and a babystep towards no guns and eventually a semi socialist nation.....just my opinion. Crazies gonna do crazy, can't stop em...
Not true. You need to read the dam newspaper. This is "Obama people" so don't give me the, "It's not him" bullchit. http://www.thenewamerican.com/usnew...-owners-line-up-to-register-guns-by-january-1
I think everyone has to wait a few days. It's to prevent a pissed off man from buying a pistol to shoot his nagging wife. It gives time for him to "cool off". It's not nearly enough time imo.
Where in the world does this notion come from? It's a lost freedom to try to keep guns away from whackos, felons, kids, and foreigners? Only for whackos, felons, kids, and foreigners.
