Well, if rehab is necessary . . . still remains to be seen. At least you didn't say the Tigers should be thankful for Tennessee softening . . . nah, I can't even type that with a straight face.
Holiday games suck. The students are gone on fall break and half of everyone else is visiting relatives and on the road. Even the day-after-Thanksgiving games always sucked. And its never a game at night in Tiger Stadium, its always an afternoon game, and the team only has four days to get ready for it. It's great for TV fans who can watch the tiger on the big screen after T-day dinner, but its hell on ticket holders. Lots of no-shows. Holiday games suck.
But not BAMA. Is my mike on? Anyway, just glad Les, LSU and Bama get the same SEC schedule. Even though we don't have to leave BD stadium to do our damage. Sorry about that.
Having the game Friday afternoon at least gave the students a chance to go home for Thanksgiving and come back for the game possibly. It does suck for the fans, but the true fans will make plans around the game like they always do. Celebrate Thanksgiving on Friday if you need to. One benefit is that it gives fans who normally don't get a chance to go to the games a chance to go to games. I was able to go to the 2011 LSU-Arky game because someone gave their ticket to me.
Hate that game. The audacity to put the Bama/barn rivalry on Turkey day stunk to high heaven. In 1992 almost starved to death before I got home. We did however beat the barn 17 to 0 in Pat Dye's last Iron Bowl and won the NC.
