At the state track meet today, Fournette appeared to pull a hamstring running the second leg of the 4x200 for St. Aug. He sat out the 100.
i read a long post by a passionate fan of LSU recruiting about his Spring Game experience, and he said he witnessed Miles' wife and Fournette's mother sitting together in the front rows, and he said they looked like they were hitting it off
I saw him this past winter at my alma mater's playoff basketball game.......he doesn't play but he lead the St. Aug team out on the court wearing his football Jersey, participating in their pre-game warm ups, trying to fire them up I suppose. St. Aug had one kid who I think has signed with Kentucky and a couple other division 1 prospects. If it weren't for their horrible coach they would have run those white kids out the gym, however, they got completely out coached and choked. I walked by him (LF) and told him I'm looking forward to seeing you in Purple and Gold and smiled and said "maybe so, we will see" seemed like a really nice kid, but I wasn't blown away by his size or anything, but he did look to be solid muscle......
Article from a couple days ago http://www.wwltv.com/sports/LSU-Bam...ck-whos-No-1-recruit-in-nation-206698561.html -LSU, Bama, AND Florida have coaches on their staff that went to his high school (St Aug) that are recruiting him -claims he is completely undecided ( "It's going to come to me," Fournette said. "When I have that special vibe, that's all.") -Les' reference to him at the Bayou Bash made a big impact on him... Leonard Fournette is so good, LSU adjusted its 2013 recruiting strategy in hopes of landing Fournette in 2014. "We decided not to take a tailback," LSU head coach Les Miles said at his signing day press conference in February. "We will need a great one, one of those guys who has great speed, and ball skills and can run with power, and I'm thinking of him right now." By NCAA rules, Les Miles is not allowed to mention Fournette by name, but it was a clear reference to the New Orleanian. "I was at practice," Leonard Fournette said. "When I got to my phone, I had beaucoup missed calls from my family, my mother and my father. So, when I called them back, it was something like, Mr. Les Miles, he made a statement about you, and I was like, what are you talking about? He said he didn't want any running backs for 2013." Leonard Fournette said he laughed it off, but "it was a big statement. I was surprised. Because not every college program does that."
link from dandy Don's site on LF. I sure hope to see him in P&G http://espn.go.com/video/clip?id=9505706
if you play through the first video and hang around for the second one to come on, it goes on to tell you he is taking a visit to Michigan this weekend for the Big House BBQ.
That's OK, because Michigan may have a house of BBQ....but they don't have a house of dance and feathers...
