he did he was a gamble because of his academics, bama took a chance on him, that LSU wasn't willing to take.
Well Michael reported to campus high and with a supply. Some of the upperclassman let the coaches know on day 1.
They could have went after Eddie Lacey, a very good RB with grade issues or Michael Ford, a very good RB without grade issues. This is the 2009 class as well. It included Montgomery, Brockers, Claiborne, Randle, Davenport, Shepard, Loston, Hicks, Downs, Faulk, Minter, Mingo, Logan, Barrow, Williford, etc. which is pretty much the core of this years and last year's team. In hindsight you could probably have swapped out Lacy for someone, but at the time there wasn't room for a guy with grade issues. LSU needed a RB that was at the very least qualified because they didn't take one in 2008. It would have been nice, but you can't take every LA kid. Some are going to sneak across the border. I can deal with the Eddie Lacy's. It's the Trovon Reed's and Landon Collins' that hurt the most.
3 years later, and it finally makes sense. Maybe, 3 years from now, I will understand what really happened in the NCG.
