The NCAA is still wrestling with twitter and social media and how this is deemed "contact" or not. In this case, no direct mention of Fournette, as has been said already this is the name of a group of players that represent St. Aug. There is another tweet from PP7 pretty much urging Hootie Jones to come to LSU, which could easily be taken as a former player meddling with recruiting of a player. That one I would be much more concerned with. http://www.nola.com/recruiting/index.ssf/2013/12/patrick_peterson_pitches_laure.html
PP did an excellent job staying within the guidelines set by the NCAA. No mention of LSU and instead used 7era.
My nightmare scenerio! Alabama gets fournette who is the highest profile recruit in recent memory, and his decision causes others to join him! i know this is extremely negative and it makes me want to puke to think about it but his being so tight lipped about where he is going is very concerning to me. why? because if it is Alabama then he knows him and his family are going to get a huge backlash from angry LSU fans. if its LSU then why not commit now, get it over with and try to get others to join BUGA NATION AT LSU! hes taken all the trips and seen everything there is to see so if its LSU then he should just say so and help us get as many guys as we can to join him! just my humble opinion.
Be patient. And make sure to watch the Under Armour football game (wink). There are going to be 4 special announcements being made.
http://www.nola.com/recruiting/index.ssf/2013/12/fournette.html#incart_m-rpt-2 Luginbill believes Fournette is one of the elite handful of prospects each year who can make an immediate impact at whatever college program he chooses. "Absolutely. He's a faster Todd Gurley," said Luginbill, in reference to the University of Georgia sophomore sensation. "I remember sitting in the film room with our staff and saying, 'I'm not so sure that this kid wouldn't be the best outside linebacker in the country if he played defense.' Against Jesuit, St. Aug coach Cyril Crutchfield aligned Fournette often at slot receiver, and Fournette responded with seven catches for 242 yards, including touchdowns of 61 and 66 yards. "In my 23 years, he's unquestionably the best I've seen at running back," said Mitch Small, the marketing director for the Louisiana High School Athletic Association. "I've seen Kevin Faulk, Cecil Collins, Warrick Dunn, Travis Minor, who people forget was the national high school player of the year.
Lets hope to god its Lsu! you know this year once again thanks to the 2 team bcs limit for each conference that lsu is in another _hit bowl and alabama and other teams in this conference are in much better games!Im not so sure its to our advantage to load up with these big non conference games while alabama gets the lightweights in our conference each year thanks to their crooked ass scheduler womack! because at the end of the day its what these kids look at! how many wins you have! not the fact you just sent ten players to the nfl, but what bowl game is LSU in compared to other schools! these last two minor bowl years are going to hurt us!
Yep, cause no college guy wants to play in the NFL, just a good bowl game. Cam and Chief have done a great job in this department and are respected as to kids being NFL ready, look at what Cam did with Mett, look at the two WR's and the RB's this year, it's got players looking at LSU just for this cause. Look for this to continue. An Chief's resume speaks for itself. Look at who he sent into the NFL over the years. Ask kids why they want to attend LSU, this is one of the main reasons. Les, the Fans, and a lot more things come into play.
How special can Fournette be for LSU? http://sportsthenandnow.com/2011/01/01/30-years-ago-herschel-walker-leads-georgia-to-national-title/
