I should probably just let this go, but I kind of loosely keep up with things in NE La., even though, as I've stated emphatically, I am NOT from West Monroe. This has it all, drama, intrigue, suspense, doublecross, crisscross and maybe even some NCAA recruiting violations. Most of you have already figured this out, but Sims, Robinson and maybe Jones have a "handler" I'll call him, or maybe a wanna be agent would be more correct. Is this a recruiting violation? Personally I don't know but I think LSU's next step should be to ask the NCAA to look into it. http://www.thenewsstar.com/article/20120831/UPDATES02/120831022/Shows-suspension-not-lone-WM-penalty OOPS, BRETT beat me to it.
that's right...louisiana boys! and we've still done better than anyone else against you. alabama has no talent so you poach from the state that has the best talent using such tactics as getting boys girlfriends jobs and giving scholarships to others best friends. saban will not be there the entire time CRob will be. it's time for him to make another move. wonder how he'll feel when a second rate coach/recruiter shows up. pussies!
This is sorta reminiscent of the Oregon, Lache Seastrunk affair. I can't remember his wanna be agent's name.
LSU still looking good for Hootie, not sure where all that is coming from. He has been very close to our coaching staff, players, and other recruits. He was quoted last week that no one committing elsewhere will alter his decision and I guess I will take his word for it unless I see something that makes me think otherwise. Hootie had a blast in Dallas at the game last week. Very pro LSU...
LOL, Bakari isn't the only one...and it isn't just to Alabama. You have Head Coaches doing the same thing (Crutchfield). The thing is, these guys usually get access to these camps because they have a close tie with someone on the staff. The Head Coach rarely even acknowledges their presence. He might sit around and shoot the shit with his staff while they're around to make them feel included. Most people willingly kiss the ring of The Don. A lot of these young coaches came up playing high school or college ball when Saban was here. His coaching tree is spreading quickly AND he comes from a premiere coaching tree (Parcells>Belichik>Saban). So like it or not, Saban is seen as a god among these coaches that have designs on progressing beyond high school ranks. They want to get in that tree because they see that as the best way to success. Who can argue with them? I would say schools all across the South, but it's really schools all across the country see that Louisiana is ripe with talent. You have Florida, Texas, and California due to their sheer size, then right on that next rung are Louisiana, Georgia, Mississippi, and Ohio. There are other states that are hotbeds such as Michigan and Pennsylvania, and even the Carolinas to a lesser extent. But those four states have something in common. They're full of marquee prospects, and the predominant school in the state can't and won't pull them all. There's only one LSU. Ole Miss is building something, but really, Mississippi is still relatively wide open. Georgia has no equal despite Ga. Tech being there. No school in Ohio measures up to Ohio State. Alabama has it's share of recruits but it's not near the volume of other states, plus the state is split with two big time programs. Saban can get the best of the best in Alabama, which is usually only a handful. But he also knows he needs the panhandle...and Georgia...and Mississippi...and among all others, Louisiana. I've said this before on here and folks thought I was full of shit, but Saban would love nothing more than to fully infiltrate Louisiana. See, in one of those casual moments where he was letting the servants kiss the ring at camp, he made a statement to the effect that, if he can pull Louisiana, the only thing that would stop their program is injury. The state of Alabama might have 7-10 truly marquee prospects in any given year. EVERY year, Louisiana will have that many and more in one city. Look at St. Aug in New Orleans. As good as they are this year with Fournette, NEXT YEAR, while they may not have a guy as good as Fournette, they're gonna have probably 7 or 8 kids go to BCS programs like Edna Karr will this year. Saban was here for several years. He knows what's here. We CANNOT strike out in the New Orleans area this year. I don't know what the hell is going in Northeast La., but Shreveport and the I-10 corridor are must keeps. And I believe Miles will keep the fence...even if there's a hole in it around Monroe, . Sorry for the long post.
