**FWIW** Bringing the kid to the midget wrestlers today and the morning radio guys are having quite the discussion about DC. I guess he was in the stands last night to watch his brother (plays bb for OSU) and he apparently wasn't very pleased with the way he and his brother were treated. Supposed to be something on twitter but I haven't looked. The things I took away from the segment. ** They mentioned his mom asking the sooner fans to help her get her son to stay home. The local guy here (the rivals recruiting guru, think shea dixon or rosetta) was saying that while the ncaa can't do anything about fans contacting recruits on social media or any other way for that matter, it is still a violation. He thinks at some point they will make an example out of someone and say to player x "you are not eligible to attend school z due to improper contact" who knows if it ever happens. Kerry even said that Bob called him and asked him to put it out there for people to stop contacting him and let the school handle it. I'm sure this will only make it worse. ** They talked quite a bit about the mom and I have still yet to hear anyone mention that she is sick. If this is true it sure does seem to have slipped past the local media. They were even sort of mocking the whole situation and saying "boy better listen to his momma" but never "How could you leave your sick mom". I would have thought that would have been front and center but it was never brought up.
His mom has cancer and has been discussed much as of late as a reason why his family wants him to stay close to home.
Yes, I have seen that here on this board. My point is, why am I not hearing any of that here in OKC where he lives?
