No it isn't. Easy to get caught up in it just to be disappointed and in some cases devastated when a kid doesn't choose your school. You win some, you lose some. The competition in the SEC alone is beyond fierce.
That's why you can't build your happiness on the hearts and minds of 18yo boys. For me that is the one good thing that can out of the ArchManNardo era when we were in the depths of the abyss.
Landon hasn't really panned out as the elite safety he was touted as at Alabama. I mean if you're that good you start as a true freshman (see Patrick Peterson). He only got to start due to injury as a sophomore.
