On Tony: DB Tony Brown, Beaumont (Tex.) Ozen (2014) Brown is also coming off a strong performance at the Rivals100 Five-Star Challenge in Atlanta last weekend and had another strong outing on Saturday. The 6-foot, 180-pound Brown has good size for a cornerback, but what really catches your eye is his speed. Brown showed he can stay with any wide receiver at the event, and his ability to close on a thrown ball allowed him to break up several passes Saturday.

I guess I should have phrased it differently; that he came here on a football scholie. And as others have noted, if you play football you have to be ob a football scholarship. Just like XC, Benny and Trindon were.
FYI............... LSU target Tony Brown (CB, 6'0", 185, Beaumont, TX) broke his own nation-best time in the 110-meter hurdles with a time of 13.62 seconds.
I'm sure that's not true. I think Devery was given a football scholarship because they have far more to give than the track team does.
If you play any sport along with football, you have to be on a Football Scholarship.......bear bryant rule. From years back.
Anyway Devery was more of a football player than track star. I don't remember him running much with the track team.
