These are my thoughts. If we lose any of them, it will be Speedy.....but I'm still not quite so sure that we miss out on Speedy.

    Who knows?

We'll know in a few hours.

It's all very weird. I think everything just looked a little too perfect for these guys going into the week so they figured they'd shake it up. Noil could go elsewhere but even he ends up at LSU is my thought. Brown to Bama is laughable. He's a world class track athlete. He's not running track at Alabama. He's just not. 5/5 is my prediction.

Edit: I swear I posted this before I read Jimmy Smith's change of tune this morning.

You never know what a kids thinking. Like I say, recruiting a not for the faint of heart.

I often sit down with coaches an discuss recruiting, it's one of the main things that have them pulling their hair out. How a 17-18 year old kid that control a good class or a great class. The star system is great, but coaches know more than some of these paid scouts. Has a kid topped out in high school, can he put weight on his frame, can he keep his speed. Remember Kevin Mawae was around 240 lbs coming into LSU, but he played a number of positions before setting in at OC.

One LSU coach told me a story of having to talk with a town preacher before getting a big time recruit to even see him face to face. The preacher acted like it was a job interview. But the preacher wanted to make sure the player was gonna be taken care of at LSU.

Another time a couple LSU coaches were in a recruits house and a roach landed down inside one of the coaches shirt. If only YouTube was around back then.

Name a player to a coach and he'll remember everything about what went on. Hard to forget.

I got a fax one time on a couple players nick and Jimbo was trying to get to LSU, went into detail on what another school was doing to get the two. In the long run LSU was better off, both kids did very little in college and not much after college.

Yep the names have been changed, ok, I never added the names, to protect the innocent.

Possible. Just watching Sumlin on TV, he's very likeable and magnetic.

So is Mack Brown. An last year Sumlin took a bunch of players from La, not just any LSU wanted. KS will get a few, but LSU will be fine. LSU has done a great job in the state of Tx, this will continue even with KS. Chief has done the best job of anyone containing KS offense.
