I wouldn't consider the rest of the SEC slate and West Virginia as cupcakes... otherwise you can just mark out "Alabama" and put in "LSU".
Still pretty funny, though. Without comparing them side to side (I'm on vacation and too lazy to do that right now), I'm willing to bet that Bama's SEC schedule IS cupcake compared to LSUs on at least 3 SEC occasions, i.e. they are not getting the tough SEC opponents as measured over the past 5 years. They are getting all of the ones in rebuilding mold, or who are perennially weak.
Is somebody seriously trying to pretend that bama doesn't get pathetically weak schedules year-in and year-out? That's a gas.
This actually is a pretty good schedule, for Alabama. They open with West Virginia in Atlanta --- we open against Wisconsin in Houston 2 cup cakes (just like LSU) Florida Atlantic and Southern Miss --- we play Sam Houston and UL Monroe then host Florida, --- we host Miss St @ Ole Miss, --- we host New Mexico St @ Arky, --- we're @Auburn home vs A&M --- we're @ Florida @ Tennessee, --- we host Kentucky Bye week --- we host Ole Miss and then a bye week @LSU --- we host Bama home vs Miss St --- we-re @ Arky home vs W Carolina home vs Auburn --- then we have 12 days to get ready for A&M So we're playing basically the same schedule except -- Who is tougher, West Virginia or Wisconsin? Tennessee or Kentucky? For them, Tennessee should be tougher. At least for this season, we can't really complain about their schedule.
I wouldn't call Ole Miss, Moo U or Florida cupcakes. Both Ole Miss and State will be dangerous even though neither will contend for the SEC West. Will Muschamp is coaching for his job at Gainesville. Last season was probably an anomaly coming after an 11-1 record in 2012.
