I fully expect this season to end with a spot in the Big Dance but off to a rocky start trailing Garner-Webb 43-42 at the half at PMAC. Com' on Tigers, lets put this one away!!
Solid opening effort. The team should have a lot more reliable depth than we've seen the last couple of seasons.
Tigers finish it out 93-82. Martin and Mickey lead with 21 points each. Outrebound GW 47-28. Best stat: 13-14 FT Worst stat: 18 turnovers GW was scrappy and wouldn't go away but it's a win.
Nice win by the Tigers at the PMAC to go 2-0. Down by 12 at the half to Tubby Smith's Texas Tech Raiders, the Tigers mount a 2nd half comeback to win it in OT 69-64.
nice come back win for the Tigers.....was about to turn it off when we were down by 4 with less than a minute to go and TT inbounding the ball....that was right before Gray scored on the layup and Quarterman made a steal to tie it up. These Tigers are deeper than in the past.....they just need to cut down on turnovers and we'll be a tough out.
Have to avoid those crazy dry spells....for the last 10 minutes of the first half, they couldn't throw it in the ocean. Tech was making everything it tried. Hate when those runs happen on our home court.
It was hard to watch at times, but those last few minutes shows that this is a gritty team that can gut out a win. Crazy couple of buckets to push it into overtime. I'm glad to see people talking about basketball. I'm not sure how much more football I can take. We are big and athletic, and that will go a long way against lesser talented teams. I am worried about our shooting, though. Every time we took a shot from more than 10 feet out, I cringed. Was this just an off night?
