Looked like it wasn't our day as Rhymes hit into 3 double plays, and he's the Reigning SEC Player of the Year and Reigning SEC player of the Week

The 3rd double play he hit into was in the Top of the 9th, right after Katz's lead-off single

THEN DOWN BY ONE WITH TWO OUTS, BACK TO BACK TO BACK HITS BY THE TIGERS: IBARRA SINGLED! MOORE HIT AN RBI DOUBLE TO TIE THE GAME! THEN ROSS HIT AN RBI SINGLE TO SCORE MOORE! THEN COTTON CAME IN AND STRUCK OUT THE SIDE!!!! HOOVER WAS FULL OF LSU FANS GOING CRAZY!

Anyway, I second bayarea, get the W and troll the Bama faithful with 2-out heroics in the 9th at the same time.

 

When Rhymes hit into the DP in the 9th, my friend here told me that's was Rhyme's 3rd time hitting into a DP, then the announcer said the same thing (but the announcer has been getting stuff wrong all week). I told my friend what you said, but he didn't care. But i do, it was an exciting game. The tying run had me on my feet here cheering. I'm looking forward to reading up more on reactions to this game, all the ones I've read so far have been great. I believe we hit into four double plays today, we also left the bases loaded. I missed the first part of the game. My only regret is that i wasn't at a bar full of LSU fans today, but the good news is that this team has Tiger Nation so excited that one of my local bars actually had a big crowd of LSU fans there watching the game yesterday. It's the first time that has happened, and I've been hoping for it to happen for years (LSU football and Saints are awesome to watch there)

 

Hoover continues to be Hoover. You just can't predict how teams are going to fair.

I mention earlier how UofSC has been the "bell cow" of the SEC nationally but has such a difficult time reaching the weekends. Yet, this season, we see the four best teams in the SEC this season still playing. UofSC hasn't made the semi's in the last four seasons.

How much does Vandy love Hoover? This makes five of the last six years they've made it to the semi's.
