4* out of Los Angeles with offers from almost everyone on the West coast. 6'4 210 Probably would be a top 5-10 QB if he didn't tear his ACL in the 2nd game last year. Before the tear he already had 600 yards and 6TD passes.
How big of a get is this guy, and what are the chances he waivers on his commitment before next February? I'm getting uneasy about getting excited about big quarterback commits after Zach Lee and Gunner Kiel.
Anybody know anything about this kid...looks promising. http://www.wafb.com/story/18582081/2012/05/22/tigers-pick-up-commitment-from-big-time-quarterback
He already has offers from everyone out West except Oregon and USC. Supposedly camped at USC, they would be the only ones I'd worry about if they offered.
USC already has a qb commit. This guy would of been ranked higher if he didnt get hurt. A strong senior season will have rise up the rankings. Its still a really good pick up. Props to Kragthorpe on this one.
if his current Rivals ranking holds up, he'll be the highest-rated QB by Rivals that we've gotten in the last ten years, not including 5-stars Russell Shepard in '09 or Ryan Perrilloux in '05 (who were both ranked the #1 dual-threat QB and were #7 and #16 on the Rivals250)... H. Rettig ('13) -- 5.9 rating, #5 pro-style QB, 4-star, #123 on Rival 250 J. Russell ('03) -- NR rating, #6 pro-style QB, 4-star, #79 on Rival 250 Jarrett Lee ('07) -- 5.8 rating, #7 pro-style QB, 4-star, on Rival 250 (Rivals250 was listed in no particular order) J. He said in his radio interview today that he has no problem leaving home and he will be an early enrollee in January and will be a Tiger, has no problem leaving home and his brother plays for boston college, loves Krag
This commitment is so odd but in a good way. A Los angelos Cali kid with I'm guessing no connections down here in baton rouge being a top ranked qb coming to lsu. With our recent losses of z.lee and Kiel I didn't think we'd rebound this way, but folks, we may have found our qb of the future. He'll have around 2-3 years (depending on rivers and Randall; I'm not sold on liggins yet) to learn our hopefully opened up offense and won't have to face the toughest defenses in the nation until he is matured and ready! Too excited for this commit! This one is HUGE
with him being an early enrollee in january, he will be here for the spring and probably if im guessing right be redshirted to learn the system and with the way they will open it up down the field this year and with the wide receivers coming in, it will be good for years to come
