2013 CB Rickey Jefferson Commits to LSU

ha. I've actually brainstormed in my free time enough thoughts to write a reply to the post above yours that will be much, much longer than 4 paragraphs, but I'm not sure if I'll get around to it

I guess a mere 4-5 paragraph reply could be that, although I do believe 99% of people out there do strive to be a good person, and that if you get to know them in real life you will see they are a good person... we are all still, myself included, prone to being stupid, stubborn, malicious, quick to judge others but not ourselves, etc. none of us are perfect, and therefore we are all flawed. but to go around harping on how someone else isn't perfect, especially someone you don't even know...that is not a good sign. it should be common sense that our concern should be on identifying our own flaws and working on them, not going around trying to identify other people flaws, esp people you don't even know

like the guy mentioned above, Christ, in his great Sermon where he summed up his teachings, said:

“Stop judging, that you may not be judged. For as you judge, so will you be judged, and the measure with which you measure will be measured out to you.
Why do you notice the splinter in your brother’s eye, but do not perceive the wooden beam in your own eye? How can you say to your brother, ‘Let me remove that splinter from your eye,’ while the wooden beam is in your eye? You hypocrite..."

 

That is quite the overreaction to what LSUTyga73 said originally. "Let's see if this attitude issue is genetic. And at least this time we want to see interceptions associated with Jefferson" Tigerchick for comparison said "No doubt those Jefferson boys have a knack for stopping offenses, good to see Ricky as a DB" First, I find very little difference in what they said yet you didn't go after Tigerchick in the essentially you are going to hell manner. Second, I saw nothing wrong with either statement since their opinion would be shared by many, many Tiger fans, not just a few. I dispute the INTs from Jefferson myself since he threw very few really in his career compared to most QBs who start essentially 2.5 years in the SEC. Anyway, the bottom line is I see no place where LSUTyga73 attacked Jefferson personally other than his attitude sometimes. I think about 95% of LSU fans were not happy to see Jefferson always blame someone else when HE made a mistake. In 3 years of starting at LSU, I can not remember 1 single time when Jefferson in interviews took 1 iota blame for any bad play that he clearly was responsible for...not 1 single time. I can promise you it was not bad coaching in the NC game when he could have run 15 yards up the middle easily but instead threw a "pass" towards Spencer Ware who had no idea the ball was coming to him because he was clearing the middle of the field for Jefferson to run and had his back to the QB. That was not an attitude issue but certainly was a horrible, horrible mistake that was Jefferson's fault 100% and the attitude issue was not owning up to that bad play. LSU could have had a very successful play easily and he throws a FR caliber INT. Why didn't Jefferson bring that up in the post-NC interview when it was an incredibly important play...that was not the coaches not having a good game plan. That was 100% poor execution and was 100% Jefferson's fault on that play that should have been an easy big gainer.
