    If he is out for season with his knee, is he allowed to use a "medical redshirt" and still leave himself a redshirt year...not that he would need it...or since he is a true frosh, he has to use the traditional redshirt?

    Not that this would apply, just curious about the rule as it pertains to a freshmen.

    He is still telling people 3-4 weeks and surgery already happened. But I could see a decision to keep him out to be safe.
