TE out of John Curtis and rated an early 3* by Scout committed to LSU this morning.

Big redzone target who averaged about 20 yards a catch last year. Also played OLB for the Eagles.

Had interest from Bama, Tenn, A&M, Okie St., etc...

    6'5
    250
    4.9

Looks like a candidate to eventually shift to OT with the huge frame.

:geaux: Maybe he will break the long drought the Tigers have had with signing players from Curtis. Getting Rasco from Evangel broke the drought there so I'm optimistic. :thumb: :LSU231:

Hope not, we really need a good TE in this class. We have just recruited a lot of big guys to play OL and we don't need to get an undersized one.

I couldn't agree more. We really need a dominate big TE. Look at what a Kyle Rudolph or Jermaine Gresham can do for an offense.

6'5 250 as a rising senior in high school means he can easily put on 30-50 lbs. with a college weight/nutrition program. If he really runs a 4.9, he may not be fast enough to be a difference maker at TE anyway.

It's actually pretty likely he stays at TE. Kid's a playmaker and moves very well for his size. You try to tackle 6'5" 250 at 4.9. :hihi: Very similar is stature to Chase Clement.

He is a great blocking TE and has the speed and athleticism to make plays in the passing game. Curtis uses him in the redzone often. I think he stays at TE.

Fair enough, I've never seen him play. Just going off of his height/weight.

Happy to have him on board either way,
