i know there is likely a lot of pressure, but i will be surprised if the kid flips. i figured (and it is just my opinion) the visit was to appease mamma.
38 years coaching football not once did I ever feel the need to tail a player not to wear another team's appearal on a visit. Is Collins arrogant or dumb?
Yeah, at some point you have to just say, "thanks, but no thanks" and move on. If the kid doesn't have enough respect to not wear another team's gear on a visit, that tells me enough about his character. Basic respect for anyone you're visiting.
if true, then the visit should've ended as soon as it began! to have ANY other teams gear on during this visit would've been disrespectful. to have bama gear on, it would've been near criminal, imho!
i have no idea if the bama gear is true or not. if so, the kid lacks manners. but as a courtesy to the family, who has supported lsu, if the kid wants to visit, you allow it. because, imo, at this point it isnt just about lc. it is about keeping any lines of communication open with the family in effort to recruit the younger brother.
This was an interesting article on ESPN about his recruiting battle via DandyDon this morning........ NCF - Alabama-bound safety Landon Collins picked Tuscaloosa over LSU to his mother's dismay - ESPN The Magazine - ESPN
yeah some people, myself included, keep forgetting that Collins' younger brother, Gerald Willis III of Edna Karr in New Orleans is a stud defensive end who has already camped at and gotten offers from Alabama, LSU, Florida, etc
If he called up the coaches to come visit yesterday, then I speculate that it's either to show momma that he seriously reconsidered his commitment to Bama (and get her off his back) or that he really is seriously reconsidering his commitment to Bama. I know the GF has him by the nads, but you know that when momma ain't happy, ain't nobody happy!
