bhelmLSU - I don't know why you are saying this, but from every article and site I read prior to his commitment it was 50/50 LSU/Bama so he choosing Bama while it is very disappointing because he is a local kid it is not surprising since it was said to be a coin flip.

Because Collins was saying he has known all along which isn't surprising now that he made his pick. Just pointing out the BS. He said it in the article above and on the radio this week.

He would lose to much more swag if he switched. Girl makes him go one way and then his mom putting her foot down wouldn't do him in favors.

Landon has said deep down he was an Alabama lock 2 years before his announcement. That is why bhelm is stating otherwise as he feels he knows different.

bhelmLSU - I agree with you he would lose to much swag if he switched so I assume you don't think he will switch. My question to you was what on earth was he doing on campus? Doesn't make any sense I realize that the coaches will not stop recruiting until signing day, but why would Collins stir the pot like this he knows that Saban would not be happy.

i don't know if Saban is angry that Collins visited LSU, but i doubt it. you're not officially a Bama signee until you sign your Letter of Intent, until that happens, you are free to change your mind regarding what program you go to. this year, Justin Thomas, a Rivals 4-star ATH from Alabama, committed to Bama then changed his mind and committed to Georgia Tech. a year or two ago, Keenan Allen, a 5-star and the Rivals #1 safety committed to Bama then changed his mind and went to Cal. decommitments are a regular part of college football. players change their minds for a variety of reasons.

however, word on the street is that Saban is not happy at all with you. you better watch out...

Well at least one of my predictions is coming through once that scene played out with Collins and his mother on National TV and that was "the next 3 weeks prior to signing day the Gumps and Saban were going to sh*t a brick worrying if Collins would flip" Well we now know they are definitely not feeling real confident. They probably still sign Collins but at least it is nice to know they are losing sleep over it!!!!

It could happen. There are a ton of family/GF family issues right now. Once the smoke clears we will hear a lot more about it. These issues could work out to help or hurt us. The pressure from both sides is in full force.
