It was a figurative statement, not literal. And technically, on Feb 1 the season will be over or just beginning. Depends on how you look at it.
There are too many sides to this story to consider. There is the side that says that Collins really did know all along and just wanted the attention. Another side could say that he wants to shock the world and flip his commit on NSD. I mean, having family and coaches in your ear for almost a month could be hard to ignore. Maybe Collins really is following his gf, if so that's said and most likely the reason why she looked so excited during the announcement and everyone else was in shock. There are too many angles to consider and we will probably know the whole truth. I personally think that Collins made the announcement to get some for the next month before flipping but that's just high hopes. All said and done, NSD will conclude the drama, and wherever he goes I hope he plays well, but if it is bama he will realize on game day that he is on the wrong team.
obviously. this ship has sailed. the only thing that could have maybe saved LSU is offering his g/f a scholly and changed the moms tune. people often swallow their ego when money is at stake. that little nicky is a devious mf and knew what was up. the bad news is this is one special player despite all the hurt feelings and denial.
