I liked it. He'll get over it. High School boys should listen to their mamas. Could have played for a superior program just up the road from his blood , but nooooooooooo.
I hope Landon does well and that he made this decision for the right reasons. If he did not make this with his own personal interests in mind and the girlfriend has that much sway, well, the lack of good decision-making may end up hurting him in life in general. It could also be a great teaching lesson for him and he'll become a better man for it. Regardless, recruiting is only half the battle. You also have to develop that talent. Dad has pointed out endlessly how stable this LSU program is right now on a myriad of levels and thus success will not be fleeting. Cooper, Wilson, Chavis and the entire staff with Miles guiding the vessel and Moffitt building their bodies and wills up lends itself to continued high achievement. LSU has not come across the best secondary in the nation by signing the best and brightest 5* recruits. They have recruited talented athletes, found a position for them to be successful, and then allowed them to flourish in a system where their skillset is best used. Loston was a 5* safety if you recall and he is not starting in this defensive backfield. Landon will in the end do what he wants for his life. LSU will in the end do what it does best -- win.
Yea, didn't seem many other than the fairly good looking girl behind him were too happy. She was beaming. She has to be the girlfriend. If only he would realize that she won't be there to the end like his mother will be. Either school will have better looking girls throwing themselves at him. Besides, Little Nicky will be at Texas before Collins leaves Bama. Most believe CLM will be at LSU a long time. Don't wish Collins ill, but time to move on to people who bleed purple and gold.
I have to say, it bothers me the 2 top prospects from La. turned their backs on our purple and gold. However, it somewhat lessens that feeling to see the 5* QB from Alabama, Winston, turn his back on Bama. He had a hell of a game last night. I just don't understand why kids would want to leave their state schools after having lived with them, almost as part of your family, since childhood. Guess their upbringing was different than mine. Now I'll move on.
Obviously we wanted the guy and hate to lose any 5* in state prospect but the reality is if CLM doesn't take anyone else this class is excellent regardless. CLM has put together a great class that fills all our needs with great talent. JMO
Looked to me like she was ready to flip him over her knee and tan his back side. Mom, tell him when he packs his bags not to worry about a return trip. If you commit to Bama, you stay at Bama. I could accept him going anywhere else. Why Bama and Satan?
