Just watched the video. Never threw to a 2nd read that I saw. Of course, maybe he didn't have to. Reminds me a little of a bigger JJ. He will shed some pounds after spending time with Moffet. Hope he's ready to work. Excited to see what he can do. Looks like we have a new "JL" to talk about. Welcome JL!

He's plenty mobile. His size doesn't appear to be a hinderence at all. Looks like a positive. I'll gladly take a guy who is difficult to bring down in the backfield.

Needs more arm extension, though, and a higher release. Short arms a lot of throws. Looks like a player, though. I see some Cam Newton in him, but his arm looks more like Vince Young's.

Surprised we didn't see the obvious comparison. Thick-built guy who runs through guys rather than around them, weird throwing motion but surprisingly good ball placement...reminds me of a right-handed Tebow.

Definitely needs a year or two of work though. His reads, plus that nose-high ball on his deep throws need work. Like another poster said, maybe he didn't need to check down much in high school.

I thought the obvious comparison was with JaMarcus Russell. He locked onto receivers a lot early on but proved to a pretty clutch player.

Nice Highlights. Big, big kid. I think IF he plays QB he will have to drop some weight, which will not be a problem at LSU if he works hard. He certainly has talent, but tough to tell how much when it looks like he just so much bigger than everyone on the field. I am certain, though, that with a Redshirt season and a RSFR season under his belt, to work on mechanics, he will be a welcome addition to our offense and hopefully continue the resurgance of LSU's Offense that begins in 2012.

I don't see near the arm strength of Russell.

I think he's much closer to Davey in that respect, or maybe even Tebow as asignupe indicated.

That's a good one too in terms of size and mobility (although Russell didn't move as much as I thought he would...and actually became quite the leadfoot as he continued to not work hard), but I don't see the same kind of arm strength and Russell had a pretty nice release as well. They both needed plenty of time in the film/weight room so I can see it. Considering what the last four years have been like, I'd be thrilled if he played up to JR's collegiate level.

    Welcome aboard Mr. Liggins!

Tebow is a sub 10% body fat guy. Not sure I'd make that same comparison.

I'm taking for granted that all the comparisons are to guys at equal level, so not 2011-12 Tebow, but rather 2005-06 high school recruit Tebow.
