Vontaze would add some Physicallness to our defense. Whitney is a great pass rusher that the Saints desperately need

    Gregg Williams was a retard.

He put Jenkins in bad positions constantly and used Harper incorrectly.

I think we are perfectly fine at safety.

I agree. Harper is fine when blitzing, but he can't cover anyone to save his life. Jenkins is very talented and a hard hitter, but he doesn't seem to fit the scheme Williams likes to run.

That said, the biggest problem with the secondary is the lack of rush from the front 4. That's the reason we went from one of the top passing defenses in 2010 to one of the worst in 2011. We got nothing from Ellis, Rogers, or Franklin. Will Smith got his at times, but was inconsistent and Jordan was a rookie, but failed to impress. I know no one wants to spend anymore draft picks on the D-line, but here and LB are where we need the most help on D.

Robert Meacham signs with the Chargers, 5 years, 25.9 mill.

Adrian Arrington, your time has arrived.

Sort of glad he's gone. He was a wasted first round pick.

Undrafted free agent signee Tyrunn Walker. New Iberia native, 6'4, 280 lb DE out of Tulsa. Looks pretty impressive in this video. Warning: the audio track is NSFW

Maybe. While I agree that he kind of got lost in the shuffle last year with the emergence of Graham, have you seen Brees' stats when he does throw to Meachem? I don't have them in front of me, but I remember Fox showing a graphic that his QB rating was over 110.0 and his completion % was close to 90% with 20 TDs when throwing to Meachem. Of course, Drew is the type of QB that makes any receiver better, so hopefully Arrington or Toon can easily replace him.

(not surprising being that he's from South Louisiana,) his bio at Tulsa says: "his favorite NFL team is the New Orleans Saints" and "his biggest sports thrill was the New Orleans Saints winning the Super Bowl"

check out the season he had last year:

    2011
-- 8 sacks (3 sacks short of being #6 in the country, 1 sack short of Sam Montgomery)
-- 5 QB hurries (Sam Montgomery only had 1)
-- 13.5 TFL (same as Sam Montgomery)
    -- 41 tackles (Sam Montgomery had 49)
-- 3 forced fumbles (Sam Montgomery only had 1)
    -- 2 kicks/punts blocked (Sam had none)
-- 8 passes broken up (Sam had none)

    and his awards:
    2011 -- First Team All-Conference USA (coaches)
    2010 -- Honorable Mention All-Conference USA (coaches)
    2009 (JUCO) -- First Team NJCAA All-American
high school -- First Team All-District, helped lead his school to the Louisiana Class 5A state championship

nola.com reporting the Saints have brought back DT Remi Ayodele. They chose not to re-sign him after 2010 and he went to the Vikes, and honestly, I expected to see his name pop up as a/the whistleblower in the bounty scandal.
