    Stony Brook's best hitter, Travis Jankowski, is projected as a 1st Round pick in the Draft by MLB.com (they have him at #33 overall)... Mikie Mahtook was taken at #31 overall in the 2011 Draft

    Stony Brook's Jankowski has high Draft hopes

    Yeah, despite being pounded in the Box, the bloodied Beavers weren't that sore about it, they took it pretty well. Your right, I shouldn't rub it in, and get em all steamed up. Just teasin though, really I'm always nice to pouty Beavers, always happy to reach down to give em a hand, try to make em feel better.

    Ole Miss eliminated by TCU 7-4.

    NC State comes all the way back from down 7-3 to beat Vandy 9-7.

    Poor Vandy. Seems like nothing good ever happens for them. As dolemite mentions, they were up 7-3 going into the bottom of the 7th and NC St. scores 3 in the 8th and 3 in the 9th to win it. Even traditionally bad teams win SOMETHING every now and then, but Vandy always gets so close, but can never seal the deal.

    They had the best baseball team in the nation a few years ago (I think they only lost something like 13 games all year), made it to the Super Regional, then lost in similar heartbreak fashion. Must be tough being one of their fans.
