Lets look at the returning players for the next season.......

On the offensive side of the ball, we return 25 players that have played in games. 13 have started at least one game.

On the defensive side, 25 have also played in games with 11 having started a game.

Special teams having only lost the Deep Snapper, we return Wing, Alleman and Hairston.

One this team we only have no Sr's at the positions of LB, Safety, CB, RB and QB, not saying we won't have some come out early after the season. This is still a young team.

I love this team, and believe if we again keep turnovers to a minimum we will again be one of the top 5 teams in the country. And most of that will be on Mett's shoulders. I do expect a few more int's since we will likely throw the ball a lot more. But he needs to keep them in single digits.

We keep losing great defenders but then keep getting better on D, that is a tribute to recruiting and coaching. Can't wait to see this D develope, I believe we will see some bonafide stars emerge.

And Les signed a scholarship deep snapper out of high school who has already taken over all deep snapping duties.

Yep, he was brought in for the Spring to get an early start. At one time the Kinchen boys were preferred Walkons, they were trying out as Deep Snappers and position players. The Ferguson kid looks to be handling the job just fine. Shouldn't miss a beat.

I like the returning players, also Josh D. will give help and leadership. The backups this year look to be some good players, this is the depth that we have been looking forward to for years.

What's the latest at WR. last I heard it sounded like OBJ and Landry were running as the starters with Shep in the slot. anyone heard if this has changed or have updated info?

I am also anxious to see how Les divides up the carries among our stable of running backs.
