Now this is amusing. This was written last season. TOWSON, Md. - When the Tigers host Maine in their home finale on Saturday, they will be trying to draw a crowd of 5,506 to break their single season attendance record. In their first four home games, the Tigers have drawn 30,188 fans to Unitas Stadium, an average of 7,547 fans per game. The single season attendance record was set in the 2007 season when 35,693 fans attended the Tigers' home games. The Tigers have drawn two of the top crowds in stadium history already this season. A special "Break the Attendance Record" link has been created where tickets can be purchased for only $8.00 each. They will be like a deer in the headlights in LSU Tiger's Stadium.
Might want to bust out a map if you think Maryland is yankee country. But I am also very much against them being on the schedule.
Son ... Lemme tell YOU about Yankees ... See ... There was a little civil dispute between the North and the South (American states) about 150 years ago Everyone north of the Potomac river (divides VA and MD) was a yankee Having lived and worked in Baltimore for around 2 years and having been born and bred in Louisiana ... I know this: Maryland ... especially Baltimore = as YANKEE as it gets Maryland Yankees believe they have the best seafood and oysters and will argue like jackasses over this point :hihi: I did a cookout Cajun Style for a bunch of them one time ... they all got a small "taste" in a plastic bowl ... Then I announced that that was all there was and since it was Cajun style and far inferior to their Maryland cuisine that they really wouldn't be missing anything ... you shudda heard the whimpering ... they're learning up there in yankeeland how to "spice things up" Maryland Yankees do look down their noses at "dumb Southern folk" Now you coonass kids nowadays think a Yankee = North of I-10 :dis: He ain't!:hihi:
I'm sure he is referring to the Mason-Dixon line, which is the northern boarder of Maryland. I'm clearly in Yankee territory, but forget sometimes that I am only two hours north of the line.
