I like Dandy, but I wish he wouldn't spend so much time on recruiting. He's not very knowledgeable in this area, IMO. Avery Johnson is actively recruiting kids for LSU. - Not to say he's an LSU lock or anything, but Dandy read into that much more than was actually there.
Blem, what about running backs? will LSU try to sign a running back this class? Looking at Scout don't look like LSU has offered anyone who isn't already committed to someone else. Any new news in this area?
We will not take any more RBs and Bourque was taken as a RB in this class. We really do not have room right now and it works out for us because the next 3+ years will have some great RBs out of LA.
Thank You. Why all the three star commitments? Are all these guys underrated or are they just excelling when the LSU coaches evaluate them or are they real good & just underexposed? Whats your thinking on this class - under the radar sneaky good or not as good as the last couple of years?
I don't get into star ratings much but it is early. LSU is focusing on the state and have a model similar to Texas right now. Get what we need here and pick up some pieces in areas of need outside of the state. Many of these guys will get bumps in the rankings. This year we have focused on defense because that is what we need and we happen to have strong talent on that side of the ball this year. Next year will be just the opposite which works out perfect for us. This fall we will be focusing almost entirely on the 2013 class. Getting earlier and earlier each year. We know who we want.
:geaux: Bhelm, just curious to know if there are any new developments in the Jeremy Hill issue. Has there ever been any action taken against him or has he been cleared? Just wondering. Think he'll ever play college ball, or will he one of those who "might've been"? :LSU231:
Hasn't gone to court yet so everything is up in the air. Not sure about academics either so if all goes as good as it could for him he could still end up in Juco.
