Oh no you don't amigo. You said that was all a bunch of internet hubaballoo and it had no truth to it. I knew deep down you knew those clintons were as greasy as a safeway chicken.
The 12th Amendment would allow a Bill Clinton vice-presidency. Its language only bars from the vice-presidency those persons who are "ineligible to the office" of President. Clinton is not ineligible to the office of president, however. He is only disqualified (by the 22nd Amendment) from being elected to that office. This is no mere semantic distinction. Article II of the Constitution carefully defines exactly who is "eligible to the Office of President": anyone who is a natural born citizen, at least 35 years old, and has been a U.S. resident for at least 14 years.
So in theory, Hillary could be elected President with der schlickmeister as her veep. Then, the day after taking the oath of office, she resigns and Willie is Pres again. Wonder if there's anything in the Constitution or election law in general to prevent that scenario.
I'm glad you made the argument, and on face value I agree. But semantics and interpretations would surely come into play. For every constitutional lawyer who would argue the position you presented another one would argue the opposite. I would like to see it play out in real life.
