From everyone I talked with, they say the same thing. I talked with a Head Coach in the same District as Hunter, Flint Risien, Flint served on the staff with Coach Phil Bennett (former LSU DC) at SMU. Flint played and was a GA at Texas A&M. Everything he said was nothing but praise for Hunter. A little trivia....... Flint's brother Cody played in the Pro's for the Cleveland Browns. Frank and Kathie Lee Gifford named her son after Cody Risien, coincidentally both Cody's were born on March 22nd.
I love pedigrees. When you look at the probability of playing in the pros if you have a close relative that was in the NFL vs. the general public it is statistically a huge factor. The examples are endless, the Saints drafted 2 in Ingram and Jordan. He looked good in the video and this revelation really gets me excited.
You can slap on another 30lbs of muscle on him with good training and diet but you cant teach the speed this guy has. I think he is a great pickup you can never have enough speed on Defense. WELCOME :tigereye:
He is 16 years old too. This guy's ceiling is ridiculously high. What is most impressive to me on his film isn't his speed/quickness, it is how he sheds blocks with his hands and doesn't rely on pure speed. It baffles me how someone so talented, with such a high ceiling can be rated so low. By the time he grows into his body, you could see some serious weight gain, maybe even quickness.
Just watched his senior highlights and more of the same but bigger and more violent. Still has that speed too. Also has a knack for batting down passes. Probably my favorite player in this class based on potential.
