His loss. I don't fret over local kids who don't realize what they are losing out on by not accepting a scholly to LSU. If they're into playing games then it will probably result in more BS down the road that won't be a positive for the team.
I am happy for the kid regardless of where he goes, but honestly, I think that growing up in LA around so many LSU faithful, if he doesn’t go to LSU and goes to Bama, he will end up regretting it at some point. Probably when Bama becomes LSU's little brother in the SEC and Miles owns Saban.....oh wait.......that has already happened

You made a very good post and your explanation makes a lot of sense. But, I guess I can't quite see why these guys seem to want all of these guarantees coming in. What's wrong with just signing and then compete for a position with the school of your choice. Nobody can guarantee them a starting position anyway; you have to earn the job. This guy has already committed to Alabama and LSU is running out of scholarships, so he may be gone anyway.
