Meh, I'm not dumb and arrogant like you guys seem to think. You guys are using the "they shouldn't have even been there" argument way too much. Would you have rather beat up on a poor OK State or had a good game with Alabama, IF your offense had shown up? Also, the "they didn't win their conference/division/have as many wins as LSU" is stupid as well. Alabama came the closest to beating the ULTIMATE team last year. No one else had a win or loss that was as good as that. Alabama also had the best defense in the nation. OK State, Stanford, not even close. The BCS, voters, etc, chose correctly IMO. I am not denying LSU had an exceptionally amazing season. Not at all. Excluding your QB, you had one of the best squads ever to walk on a football field, ever. You were in the championship game from week 1. Also, I guess I don't even really think we were the "better" team. But if you're looking at stats, we had the better stats overall. We outplayed you in most stats on November 5th even though we lost. Whatever, looking forward to November 3rd as well. I won't say something like "so we can show you who's better" or something. 'Cause I don't know the outcome. Keep thinking you're gonna beat us. Not saying it won't happen. It might. It also might not. Also, last thing. @the comment about banning LSU players from a forum: Doing that was completely uncalled for. I assume you and I are thinking of the same site. If so, I apologize on behalf of the Bama nation. It's ridiculous that they shut you guys out. I was banned (A Bama fan, yes, banned) from the same site for talking good about Auburn in 2010. I am not the BCS. I am talking about LSU fans feelings about it. But you had already lost to LSU and those other teams (conference champions) deserved an opportunity at us. A loss to a contender is usually an elimination.
In your opinion. we had already beaten Alabama and wanted a chance at another contender . . . one who won a conference. Ahem . . . Alabama 12-1 . . . LSU 13-1. Wins and losses are the only stats that matter. They are just marginalizing what was once an excellent SEC site. Sadly it has become a blind homer board. So you got a Bama board that you recommend?
I was just saying IF you were going by stats, then we did indeed outplay you in the first game. But of course, you're right. All that really matters is W/L. Yeah, they were an okay site for a while, but they've just turned it into a Bama forum, for THEM, and no one else. And I don't really blame them, I mean, they've had their share of trolls and drama over the years, but still, I don't like them for the way they've become. And yes, actually, the only Bama board I go to now is RollTideBama's forums. Nice and clean, simple. Friendly members, as long as you don't go in trolling. Anyway, though, I guess this topic should die already, huh?
No way should it die...this is SEC football. Rival posters are treated well here...under the same proviso...namely there's not too much pot stirring. And that's how it ought to be. I just haven't read too much about what the other SEC teams are like next year so I didn't predict yet.
