Been watching WMHS this year at this website: Official Sports Page of the West Monroe High School Rebels Barbe is giving WMHS all they can handle with the assistance of some shady officiating. Barbe has the ball 94 yards away from the endzone and they put Paul Turner in at Safety.
WMHS overcomes the worst officiating I have ever heard or seen in my life on any level and almost 300 yards in penalties to beat Barbe and advance. WMHS was called for 30 penalties in this one game. They had 70 all season long.
Cox is showing the WMHS/Jesuit game on CST right now. Paul Turner is looking very good as are the Rebels who just took a 14-0 lead at the start of the 2nd quarter. Not looking very good for Jesuit right now. WM's defense is suffocating. Chucky Hunter owns the middle of the field.
In the 2nd Q vs Westgate, Turner ran for 108 yards and three scores in 4:30 minutes to put the game away. WMHS's defense pretty much suffocated Westgate from that point on and WMHS cruises to the LHSAA CG for the 3rd year in a row. Up Next: Acadiana (who defeated WMHS the last time the teams met)
