Re: 2011 WR Paul Turner yep. good to see another great addition. bhelm, you are sure doing a great job keeping us posted, man, and your predictions are clearly based on sound information. thanks!
Re: 2011 WR Paul Turner Just what I was thinking! Great pickup! And with a 4.0 GPA! Sorry about all the exclamations, but I'm very impressed with this young man. I don't give my opinion here very often, but man, the guy seems to have it all. I didn't read through all of the posts but I have no doubt he's of great character...and with that athletic ability, smarts and character he'll be a sponge with some good coaching. From there, the sky's the limit. Multiple positions and always dangerous with the ball in his hands. Anyone has his height, weight and time in the 40? Doesn't seem very large, but he should grow at least a little more before major college weight training. Sweet thoughts of having he and RS on the same offensive unit.
Re: 2011 WR Paul Turner I don't know if RS is a good comparison. Not a knock on Turner at all but RS coming out of HS was just a...phenom. Hes about 5-10/5-11, 180 and ran a 4.4 in LSU's camp. LSU will probably get him on campus and figure out where they truly want him. Not exactly a bad problem to have with such a good athlete.
Re: 2011 WR Paul Turner Scout.com: Another Commitment! Another link. Going to be valedictorian at WMHS...impressive! IMO, safety at LSU after redshirt and weight training, but if we wiff on one of the WR prospects, he is certainly capable. Welcome to the LSU Tigers, PT!
Re: 2011 WR Paul Turner Shepard is a throwing option out of the wildcat. See his senior highlight reel. I'm really excited about Turner. I heard he shut down receivers at the camp. With all of the receivers we've signed recently, I see him ending up at CB. In my opinion, you can't have too many athletes, so this is a good pickup.
