Total Defense, etc ... No way to post them all! Geaux to the link and check them out for yourself! This is clearly and stunningly the most amazing statistical year of all LSU history ... One old Boy (87 years old) in Les Miles Presser this week said that this was the best LSU team in the history of the school. He had seen all the great teams since Tinsley, Dietzel, Mac, and the rest in the modern era coached. He said he'd likely never see another team due to his age, but he wanted Les and the rest to know this team was the BEST ... :geaux:
Thanks a lot ... I was very impressed by this old man just rattling on about the great old LSU teams of the past giving kudos to most of them but then telling Les that this team was the absolute best ... You could see that the sincerity of the old gentleman touched the coach.
This is arguably the best statistical year in the SEC in SEC history. Would have to check the Florida teams from the 90s.
Didn't you do the bit on the Billingsley poll ... with the GA win, LSU becomes the highest / strongest ranked team ever
Yes, LSU will be the highest rated team in college football history in both the Billingsley and Colley computer polls when they win out. Very likely the Sagarin as well, even in that poll this week I am seeing a number I don't remember ever seeing (108.46) as it is pretty damn hard to top 105. Massey, Wolfe and Anderson will be very close, especially if we play Oklahoma State (which will be a solid #2 across the board with a win over OU). Just checking Sagarin: 2011 - LSU 108.46 (2 more games to go) Here are the highest ranked unbeaten teams in the Sagarin polls history during the BCS era: 2005 - Texas 107.36 2010 - Auburn 106.21 2004 - USC 105.32 2002 - Ohio State 105.16 2009 - Alabama 103.11 1999 - Florida State 102.07 2000 - Oklahoma 101.63 2001 - Miami 101.57 So that's 3 computer polls that LSU will demolish the record high. Checking Anderson's top scores in the BCS era: 2005 - Texas .849 2010 - Auburn .844 LSU is currently .840 and will likely push for the highest rank ever before even playing the BCS title game with a win over Georgia. That record will be LSU's as well, and by a good margin. That makes 4 computer polls LSU will destroy. In Massey, Auburn appears to have the record with 3.203. LSU is currently 2.791. That one will be hard to best, but it will be close. In Wolfe, LSU again is at a number I don't ever remember seeing. LSU currently at 10.207 and Alabama is 8.877 (just as a reference to what a ridiculous rating LSU has reached). I don't remember anybody ever topping the 10 mark. Usually mid 9's is about the highest. Incredible. I would safely say that record is going to be annihilated.

Good grief! Ok, first off, major props for that compilation, ramah! Secondly, at those numbers! That is insane. This team is downright psycho.
