Thought I had a thread on him already but most of our discussions about him are in the camp threads. He stood out at both camps and was too good to pass up after his performances. Committed as a DB but could play CB or S but I see him at Safety when all said and done. He is out of White Castle and held offers from all the in-state schools and Memphis but his stock has been rising as of late. 6'2 180 4.47 I would say he is a little heavier than that based on the pics I saw from camp. Probably had the best mold out of any of the DBs at camp this week. Has very nice offensive and defensive stats and also a standout in high school basketball but he will not be playing b-ball in college. Well I assume he will not.
Re: 2011 S Ronald Martin Commits Sounds like an eventual safety. At 190 today, he'll be at 210 in 2 years, pretty easy.

Re: 2011 S Ronald Martin Commits So you think he plays safety, because we have 2 or 3 corners that could commit soon.
Re: 2011 S Ronald Martin Commits I never get too excited about safeties because it becomes a catch all position for almost every "athlete" that we get. However, what I do like about this guy is he is big enough at 6-2, plays QB, and WR too, and he is very good at other sports. This is a good indicator that his ball skills will be good. Some DB's (like a recent #44) when they are in position have no ball skills and a lack of what I consider natural instincts. Someone who is accustomed to going up and fighting for a ball in flight, be it a rebound in basketball or as a WR in football, etc., is more likely to be at ease with the timing of being a DB.
