Re: Nick Shepard (Shep's younger brother) According recruiting analyst Matt Malatesta, he is on pace to earn Div 1 scholarships According to his coach: “He’s going to be big-time when his time comes,” he said. http://rivals.yahoo.com/ncaa/football/news?slug=rivals-244319&prov=rivals&type=lgns
Re: Nick Shepard (Shep's younger brother) Yep, when we got Russell we pretty much opened up a little pipeline with Cy Ridge, his brother and I think they have a receiver that should be LSU locks if they end up being D-1 players.
Re: Nick Shepard (Shep's younger brother) Rusty, and Nick's teammate Kevin Johnson WR 6'-2" -190lbs 4.5 He's gonna be a good one also...class of 2010 http://footballrecruiting.rivals.com/viewprospect.asp?pr_key=89425&Sport=1 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Gore89dfVUA
Re: Nick Shepard (Shep's younger brother) That would be pretty awesome having a juggernaut LSU team with two Shepards as key players.
Re: Nick Shepard (Shep's younger brother) I'll be curious to see how big of a prospect his brother becomes, and whether he has the same character as Russell or not.
How good is Nick Shepard? I went to Scout and they have him as a 3 star, but no one has offered him an Scholarship yet. He is the younger brother of Russell Shepard. I would offer him an Scholarship just for the fact he is Russell Shepard brother, even tho we are set at the Safety position. He must have talent. Re: How good is Nick Shepard? He is a pretty good one and considered one of the best safety prospects in Texas. He has a slow start with the offers because he broke his arm last season which caused most coaches to forgo stopping by to see him practice in person. He is getting interest from LSU, Texas, UGA, UCLA, A&M, etc... I expect LSU to offer after one of our camps this summer or maybe even after the Nike Camp this Spring. If Texas offers which is a possibility it will be a battle with LSU holding the edge IMO.
