I look at it this way, if they signed more than us then they really aren't ahead of us. We signed who we wanted and what we needed. No last min switches from us, so we got exactly what we hoped for. Great class. Welcome To Tiger Country.
Oh, no question. It is what it is, but 3 of the 5 ahead of us signed more than we did. Hell, USC has 30 currently committed after Black Mamba bolted for Oregon. It's all good...this is a great class for LSU. We nailed it on the QB, OL, DL, and secondary. Hopefully, with a good in state crop of LBs next year, we can just continue to build the machine! I'm very happy with this class...
I know we didn't have the fun of the signing day drama like in years past, but I like the way this class developed. It built slowly over the year, once someone was in they stayed in, and they just kept chopping wood. And we strongly addressed one need after another. It has the feel of a well organized effort and I just want to believe (I have a want) that this is the work of Frank Wilson. If so it bodes well for the future. If they get Clowney in for a visit and close him I'll have to change my shorts - Twice. Once for the front and once for the back. Maybe I'll need to change them three times.
Exactly. If you would do me a favor I'd appreciate it. Been at work all day and haven't been able to look. Where do we rank as far as avg star rating? That is the better measuring stick to me.
Yes, LSU is 3.64, higher than UGA, USC, and FSU. Although it's splitting hairs at this point. All of these programs landed great classes. Even USC with 3.47 avg * rating ain't too shabby...
Thank you. To me this is the true measure of how solid this class is. This is what represents the level of talent we will be fielding over the next couple of yrs. Between this class and previous our talent level is sick. The future just continues to look bright. Great job CLM and the Tigers coaching staff.
I did allude to us taking a 2 star kicker, and if you just considered all other players besides the kicker, it would be: 1. Bama 3.86 2. Texas 3.77 3. LSU 3.71
that is splitting hairs. clm brought in another great class, and i read yesterday where he really gave a lot of credit to frank wilson for that.
