Why is Mississippi State having such a difficult time recruiting this year? I thought this would be a good year for them. They're even getting smoked by Ole Miss.
I'd imagine a place named Starkville is just not all that attractive. Never been, so not sure, but really have no inkling to go either. Probably a lot like recruits. Why go there if you have other options?
This is the burning question of the recruiting year. Well maybe not, but it does have you scratching your head.
Mullen received too much credit for his recruiting skills at UF but he is not an exceptional recruiter and it doesn't help when his name is linked to every head coach job that opens up. Add that to Starkvegas and I am not too surprised.
Really. I think he made a mistake if he got a chance to move to a school with better facilities and didn't take it. I just can't see him doing much better than the did last year, ever.
My best guess as to the final 10 ranking: 1. Bama 2. FSU 3. LSU 4. Texas 5. USC 6. Georgia 7. Clemson 8. Oregon 9. Auburn 10. Notre Dame
FSU might pass Bama at the end , but if Bama ends with Cyrus and the other 3 of 4 of these potential guys (Clear, Pagan, Raven and Dukes) they will stay at the top.
FSU is currently two high 4 star recruits behind Bama (the point equivalent). Bama will get 5 star Kouandjio and FSU can counter with Steward. Even if Bama gets no one else, FSU most likely has to snag 3 more 4 star players. I don't see that happening. Plus Bama most likely gets another 4 star recruit anyway.
