My vote for most underrated player would be Micah Eugene, I think maybe because he did everything. He will play defense at LSU. He may redshirt because of our depth but if Mathieu goes out I think this is the guy who takes his place. Quentin Thomas would get some consideration also. Trai Turner is a 4 star but I think he is going to be a force. Huge guy but he can really move. Our second best O-line recruit I'd say. JMO :miles:

I have no insider knowledge, so this is just an innocent question. Do you know Micah Eugene will play defense at LSU? I don't see it. I see him as possibly a filler for Hill since he won't be making it. FWIW, I think they could put him anywhere on the field, and he could probably do it. But I'm not sure he has the swivel hips to play corner, and probably not big enough to play safety in college.

Our defensive backfield is stacked without Eugene.

    I don't know...

The coaches told him last week he will be 2nd on the depth chart at Nickel. I think he has a good shot at getting some playing time next year.

Man, I thought that was a requirement to be one of the Golden Girls.

No insider info, just watched his film several times which is pretty short but he looked to be perfect for the Mathieu role in the 4-2-5 defense and we play that a lot (and pretty good too). Take a look at his film again and see what you think. At 5' 11", 185 he's already bigger than Mathieu. We are pretty stacked at DB, but Mathieu is not a big guy and if had gone out this past season I don't know who would have taken his place. I think now this is the guy. JMO of course.
